At the heart of my practice is the belief that everyone deserves to feel safe, acknowledged, and understood. I invite individuals from all walks of life—especially women of color, educators, executives, entrepreneurs, creatives, healthcare professionals, and caregivers—to embark on their journey to mental wellness with me.
I am deeply committed to addressing the unique challenges faced by women of color, especially regarding mental health stigma and trauma. My trauma-informed sessions consider both current and past experiences, including historical and generational trauma, fostering a compassionate environment for you to explore your feelings and experiences. Together, we will develop coping strategies to build resilience and tackle challenges such as anxiety and relationship issues. Utilizing evidence-based methods tailored to your needs, I create a collaborative space where you can express yourself and grow.
Prioritizing mental health is crucial, especially for those in service-oriented professions, as neglecting self-care can lead to burnout. I emphasize the importance of reclaiming time for yourself and dedicate my “Mindful Mondays” to personal reflection and rejuvenation, helping me recharge and enhance my effectiveness as a therapist.
I also believe that personal well-being enriches professional practice. Outside of therapy, I find joy in spending time with loved ones, traveling, writing, and enjoying nature. These pursuits allow me to cultivate balance in my life, ensuring I provide the compassionate care my clients deserve.
